A “Couples Only” boutique resort with 30 private wooden Caribbean Cottages – sheer bliss…
We arrived in Antigua mid-afternoon and were met by a warm daytime temperature. Leaving the airport, we were welcomed by the friendliest of taxi drivers – Raymond who talked passionately about the island as we headed to Cocos.
The location of Cocos was stunning, rustic cottages overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

We were greeted by an incredibly welcoming receptionist who, even before registration, handed me a rum punch and my husband a beer – my kind of start to a holiday!
Each of the 30 cottages were privately located which was quite a good thing, as each boasted an outside shower. An experience that I especially enjoyed one evening in the warmth of Antigua overlooking a spectacular thunderstorm over Monserrat. What an experience!
Cocos is an all-inclusive property where meals are taken overlooking the sea. Many of the dishes were local which for us just made it a bit more special. One morning whilst enjoying a ‘Caribbean’ breakfast a couple of sting rays glided by.

Restaurant view – romantic setting
Most of the week we just relaxed on one of the two stunning beaches with white sands and palm trees. Antigua is famous for having 365 beaches – one for each day! One day we hired a car and drove around the island visiting the infamous English harbour and of course a fabulous beach bar along the way.
Romantic and relaxed – Cocos provided the perfect R & R retreat, intimate and informal. Asked will we go back – Most definitely. In fact, as a PR and Marketing company we are now looking at working with Cocos in highlighting this ‘Hidden Retreat’ to colleagues and friends across the North West.
